I have to believe!

I had the bittersweet pleasure of having Mike's son Anthony, my nephew, spend the night with me during his visit here for Christmas. All of my siblings and I took little Anthony to go see Lord of The Rings - The Two Towers. It was a great movie and little Anthony enjoyed it very much, but for me - it was 3 hours of constant reminders of just what a great father my brother was to his son. All throughout the movie little Anthony would make comments of how dad told him one thing or another about this or that character. He was never sad, and he never got upset - because he believes Mike is a ghost now and that he was right there watching that movie with him. You would never think that believing in ghosts would bring comfort to someone, but I saw the comfort on little Anthony's face and I have to admit, it made me smile. I know that some people would frown on letting a child believe in such things - but for me, I say - I believe right along with you little Anthony!
